Idaho Elk Hunts

Our area is located in the Frank Church -
River of No Return Wilderness, which consists of well over two million acres of roadless country. Our area is on the Eastern side of what is known as the Salmon River Breaks.

Our Elk Season begins in September and runs through October.  Deer season begins in September and runs through November.  We offer September Rifle hunts during the rut. We are allocated a certain amount of tags for September, these hunts fill up fast!

Our October hunts are very promising as well.  Many times Elk will still be bugling in October.  If we have snow, it makes the elk move more frequently and are easier to spot.  The fires in the last few years have burned many acres creating excellent habitat and creating great hunting opportunities.  We find ourselves using spotting scopes more than ever before.   This is some of the best spot  and stalk hunting in the nation, it is not uncommon to see many trophy class elk/deer during your Hunt.

The country is steep and rugged. Because of its remote location and the ruggedness of the area, you will more than likely not see another hunter.

Besides the Guided Hunts, we also offer Drop Camps.  You must supply your own food on this type of hunt.  There will be no guide, packer , or cook left in a Drop Camp. We drop you off and pick you up 6 days later.

Camps are clean and comfortable.  Depending on location and resources, you’ll find your accommodations in a dome tent or a wall tent. Most camps are made up of 3-4 tents plus a shower tent, and a latrine. We have comfortable cots with pads for your added comfort.

Guided Hunts provides all makings of a camp, meals, guide, packer, riding/packing animals.

Drop Camps provides all the makings of a camp & a packer.  We will pack you in and out, along with your game.
